Kutajathwagadi Leham is an Ayurvedic medicine in herbal jam/paste form. It is used in the treatment of diarrhoea, dysentery, IBS etc. It is also known as Kutajavaleham.
Uses of Kutajathwagadi Leham:
- This is to be taken in dysentery and bleeding piles.
- This improves digestion and is good for diarrhea and
- Grahani – IBS, sprue, altering diarrhea and constipation
Ingredients of Kutajatwagadi Leham:
- Kutaja (Holarrhena antidysentrica)
- Vidanga (Embelica ribes)
- Vacha (Acorus calamus)
- Agni (Plumbago rossea)
- Shunti (Zingiber officinale)
- Maricha (Piper nigrum)
- Pippali (Piper longum)
- Bilva (Aegle marmelos)
Dosage of Kutajathwagadi Leha:
- Adult dose – 5-10 grams, twice daily, after food, is the adult dose.
- For children below 5 years of age, dose is – 2 – 3 grams, once or twice a day, or as directed by Ayurvedic doctor.
- For children between 5 – 12 years of age, dose is – 5 grams, once or twice a day or as directed by Ayurvedic doctor.
