Panaviraladi Bhasmam is a powder form of kshara or alkai preparation.
Its usage:
- It is used in the treatment of ascites.
- Used in Ayurvedic treatment of abdominal distension, liver and spleen disorders.
Dosage:
250 mg to 1 gram two times a day before or after food along with buttermilk or water, or as directed by Ayurvedic doctor.

Equal parts of
Panavirala – Borassus flabellifer
Katalati – Achyarnthes aspera
Chulli – Hygrophila (root)- Asteracantha longifolia
Rambha – Banana tree – Musa paradisiaca
Special Method of Preparation
The drugs should be burnt in an uncovered earthen pot and ash should be obtained.
