Panchatikta Kashayam is a very famous Ayurvedic medicine in liquid form. It is also known as Panchatikta kashayam, Panchatikta kashaya. It is made of five herbal ingredients and is bitter in taste. So the name Panchatikta.
Panchatikta Kashayam benefits:
- It is used in the treatment of malarial fever with tremours, chronic fevers, 3rd and 4th day fevers and irregular fevers.
- It is a potent antiviral and antibacterial herb.
- Some Ayurvedic doctors prescribe this medicine as a preventive measure during outbreak of endemic diseases.
- It boosts immunity.
Panchatikta Kashayam dose:
- The dose is 12 24 ml, before food, at about 6 7am and 6 7 pm or as directed by Ayurvedic doctor.
- It is usually advised to add equal amount of water to the kashayam.
- It is advised to have a little honey after taking this medicine.
Panchatikta Kashayam Ingredients:
- Kshudra Solanum xanthocarpum
- Amruta Tinospora cordifolia
- Nagara Ginger
- Paushkara Inula racemosa
- Kiratatikta Swertia chirata
It is added with 8 parts of water, boiled and reduced to quarter part, filtered.
