Process : The process involves three stages. They are

Selection
Drying
Crushing

Selection : Matured coconuts are handpicked and selected from different parts of Tamil Nadu and Kerala based on seasonality and yield.

Drying : The selected coconut is broken open and the water inside is emptied, then it is traditionally dried under direct sun instead of roasting. This helps reduce the moisture content present in the coconut. The reduced moisture content not only enhances the life of the oil but also improves the quality of oil.

Crushing : After drying the coconut, the copra ( dried coconut ) is crushed, heated and pressed to extract the oil. The oil is further filtered for impurities and supplied in the raw form which keeps all the goodness of the coconut intact.
